Say that ten times fast
Hamish had 30 tomato plants, and he needed a place to plant them. What are the minimum dimensions of a box that can hold all of them?
We didn't answer that question. Instead, we went to bunnings and asked for some pallets.

We wanted the nice stack of four uniform pallets, but we could only take what would fit in the car.

We took them back to Hamish's place and got to work. The idea was to use one pallet as the floor, then two halved pallets as the walls. The table saw made this very simple, and we only cut a couple nails on the way through.

A quick curry break saw us rejuvinated and ready to drill. The issue, however, was that the drill bits we had were not long enough for the screws, so we had to screw directly into the pallets with no hole.

The structural integrity of the final box was questionable, but it held together. We walked through a field and along the train line, taking breaks when the rough wooden corners got too much for our fingers. Eventually it was behind the house, and in place.

Here it is on level ground, ready for tomatoes.
